Video Room Information

Description of Video Room (Moore 3027) technology and capacity

 Moore Hall room 3027 (The Video Room) is a multi-purpose multimedia space available to GSE&IS members for instruction, lectures, events, and training sessions. It is designed to facilitate multimedia presentations as well as videoconferencing, taping, and broadcasting.


The maximum capacity for the Video Room is 44. Tables and chairs can be adjusted to meet the needs of your class or event.

Suggested uses for the Video Room:

  • multimedia lectures and presentations
  • regular taping of class sessions or partial sessions, for archive or to be made available as podcasts or web streaming
  • recording presentations for student peer evaluation or special guest lectures
  • creating training materials for digital distribution
  • videoconferencing for distance learning classes, meetings, or conferences
  • pre-recording lectures to present to several sections of the same course

 

Available Equipment

Presentation (all operable from podium touchscreen):

  • 2 ceiling-mounted LCD projectors/wall screens- can project images simultaneously or from separate sources
  • document camera
  • podium-mounted mac mini w/ wireless keyboard and mouse, CD/DVD drive
  • VGA and HDMI cables for laptops

 

Video Capture and Conferencing (requires ETU assistance):

  • 3 ceiling mounted cameras
  • integrated speakers and microphones
  • web-based videoconferencing
  • audio conferencing
  • video capture, editing, compression, and delivery
