Video Room Policies

Policies concerning reservation and use of the Video Room

Because of the specialized capabilities of the Video Room, policies for its reservation and use are specific, and outlined below:

Room Priority

Reservation priority is given to those requesters who demonstrate the highest level of need for the room's technology. For instance, a video conference or webcast will be given priority because those technologies are not available in other rooms. All requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in order to best fit the needs of the School.

Cancellations

Please contact the scheduler to cancel your reservation so that we may assign the room to other requests.

Changing Reservations

If you need to make any changes to your reservation such as date, time, or type of equipment needed, please contact Kristen Chamberland at videoroom@gseis.ucla.edu at least two days before the event.

Care of the Video Room

No food or drink is allowed in the room at any time. The lecturer may use the table near the podium for water.

Keys and Security

The room will be locked at all times when not in use. A room key can be checked out from ETU if you are using the room after ETU office hours. (SSU and the Dean's Office will have a key as well).

Technology and Training

Anyone requesting the use of the control room will need to contact ETU to open the room an determine if ETU staff must be present during use of the room. Requests for control room access will be determined by ETU.

Before using any technology in the main room, requester (faculty, staff, or student) must first be trained by ETU staff. Training will be set up on a case-by-case basis.

Room Set-Up

You are responsible for the tables and chair set up and the beginning of your session, so please make reservations accordingly. All tables and chairs were designed for ease of maneuverability.
