Student Directory Request Instructions

Please read all instructions below before you submit your request.

Note: The GSE&IS student directory is voluntary. If you choose to create a page, only your name, division, and degree objective are required. You may complete the other sections as you choose. The photo is optional; if you don't submit a photo, we will use a placeholder.

Photo requirementsRemember, this is your professional profile in an official directory. Choose a well-lit, head-and-shoulders shot where you are the only subject against a neutral background. Please do not use selfies or crop out other people if they obstruct you in the center. Before you upload the photo, crop and resize it to 250px high and 200px wide. Photos that don't fit these criteria will not be posted and you will be asked to resubmit. Your photo is optional; if you don't submit a photo, we will use a placeholder. How to: Crop/Resize on OSXCrop/Resize on Windows

  1. Fill out and submit the Student Directory Request Form. Once your page has been created, you will receive an email to log in and begin adding information to your page.
  2. Once you receive the email, go to:, click Login in the upper right corner and enter your GSE&IS logon and password. If you do not have a GSE&IS account, visit If you have an account but don’t have your password, contact the Educational Technology Unit to request a password reset.
  3. In the top light blue navigation bar, click Administrative & Student Directory -> Graduate Students. Scroll to find your name and click More About [yourname]...
  4. Click Edit in the green navigation bar and fill in the fields you want to display; student-related fields are only on the first page, you do not need to click Next. When you are finished, scroll to the bottom to click Save
  5. To preview your page before publication, click View in the green navigation bar. When you are in edit mode, the formatting of your page may be different from the public view-- sections may be offset when you are logged in, but will be aligned when you are logged out.
  6. When you have completed your profile, email  to review it before publication. If your profile passes review, it will be published, and you will receive a confirmation. If edits are needed, the CCLE Support Staff will reply to your email with instructions.
  7. Once the page is published, you can return to the student directory page without logging in to see the public view.
